Gear progression

Gear works like GMS, with a few Eden shortcuts. Here's the order most players follow.

1. Get the gear#

• Drops and quests carry you to level 100 or so. Monsters drop equipment at x2.
• Search any item in the Library to see which monsters drop it and how often.
• Boss equipment comes from bosses.

2. Scroll it with Spell Traces#

Spell Trace upgrades an item's slots with stats and attack. On Eden, traces are:

• dropped by every monster, in stacks, at x2 rate;
• sold by Nave for 25,000 mesos each.

3. Add potential#

Items without potential need a potential scroll:

4. Cube it#

Fredrick's workshop in the Free Market cubes your items for NX. A Red Cube costs 1,200 NX and a Bonus Potential Cube 2,400 NX. His AutoCuber keeps re-rolling until it hits the lines you asked for, for an extra NX fee. NX also drops from monsters (see Rates, burning maps & NX).

5. Event rings#

Nave sells the 1-of-3 Event Ring Selector Coupon for 30,000,000 mesos. Use it to pick one of:

• Tenebris Expedition Ring
• Glory Guard Ring: Justicar
• Awake Ring

The game client won't put potential on some event rings, including the Justicar. Fredrick can: his "Seal potential into an event ring" option uses a potential scroll on the ring server-side. After that, he cubes it like any other item.

6. Other Fredrick services#

• Enhance an item with Equip Enhancement Scrolls.
• Restore a traced item: bring back an item that broke and left a trace, for NX.
